Letter To God

Dear Sir or Madam,

I write to you on behalf of the Danish and the British people.

As a part-time believer, I know that it is not my place to write to you. However, I cannot keep quiet anymore about these atrocities that continue to plague our land. We must take a stand, but I fear we fight in vain without your guidance.

You have given us the greatest gift of all: free will. Nevertheless, there are individuals among us who insist on using this gift for evil. I hope you will stand with those of us who believe in the good.

These are the twilight hours of our time, and I am sure you are well aware of the ongoing struggles we face every day. I speak, of course, of the extremely bad weather we are having. And don’t get me started on people in small cars. They park in such a manner that you think that there is a free parking spot when there isn’t. My heart and soul grow weary of the constant disappointment in those people and the weather.

We have tourists coming to our shores because the weather in their own country is too nice.  It rains 11 months of the year. All I ask is, could we please have great weather in July, and could you be quick about it? After all, we abandoned Odin, Thor and Valhalla to follow you. That being said, I would never dream of insinuating that you owe us anything.

Kind regards,

Dave
